We welcome
and encourage young people of Tokmok to hold events within the walls of the Student Center
"Youth House".
We are open for cooperation.
Help young people to develop leadership skills, critical thinking and creativity so that they are able and willing to take responsility and pursue goals to serve their community.
Every Friday and Saturday, students have the opportunity to practice languages with native speakers from China, Taiwan, the US and the UK in the Happy English Time and Happy Chinese Time programs. In this online program, students interact with native speakers on a variety of topics, play fun games, and share cultural insights. Students who wish can also come to the Youth House, eat, and participate in the program in person.
The Youth House is always brimming with activity. We host a variety of events throughout the year, from traditional celebrations like Nooruz and Chinese New Year to global festivals. Our events feature delicious traditional cuisine, exciting competitions, informative guest lectures, and captivating performances. Every occasion offers a chance to connect with new people, explore fresh experiences, and enjoy unforgettable moments.
English courses are our core program, as one of our goals is to enhance the language skills of youth in Tokmok. We offer various English courses each year to accommodate different skill levels. Students delve into basic grammar, analyze texts, watch English movies, and refine their pronunciation. To foster conversational fluency, we also run conversation clubs where English is the exclusive language. Our local foreign mentors employ games, songs, and natural dialogue to help students speak English confidently.
The Youth House is delighted to offer hands-on cooking classes led by a renowned chef from Las Vegas. Each winter and summer, individuals aged 18 and older can learn the secrets of authentic Chinese cuisine. From mastering flavorful sauces and marinades to creating complete meals, these classes offer a unique culinary experience. All participants receive a certificate upon completion.
The Youth House is committed to personal growth and development. We regularly host insightful workshops and seminars led by experts from around the world. Topics range from critical issues like "Ala-kachpa" (girl abduction) to essential life skills such as building healthy relationships, navigating dating and marriage, and achieving career success. These sessions are designed to empower young people, equip them with valuable knowledge, and inspire them to reach their full potential.
